So I have decided to shut down this blog as I think I am still paying for it... paying for a blog, bit silly in this day and age.

Dont worry fan(s?) I have started a new one, and this will be bigger and better! Its going to include the regular photos but also some music posts, links and other goodies.

The site is:

www.henrymounser.blogspot.com

Put it in your favourites people!!!

See you there.

I bought my first ever item off ebay the other day specifically to photograph people wearing it. The gas mask... $10 inc P&P!!

Amanda refused to wear it so I got Shaun to do it. Taken at about midnight in the entrance hall to my apartment, lit using a torch, gradient map added in photoshop with a little bit of masking.

Inspired by a discussion with a freind and fellow photographer I decided I would take a couple of self portraits (as much as I hate pictures of myself).

Taken using a shutter release cable, tripod, work lamp for lighting and 50mm f1.8 on my 350d. Gradient channel added in photoshop to convert to B&W, extra sharpened to get ultra detail and some slight dodging, burning and cloning.

More painting with light here. Basically taken in total darkness and just highlighted with a torch. Was difficult not to get any motion blur but with a steady (and beautiful may I add) model and some sharpening in photoshop I think it is passable.

These are the headphones Amanda got me for x-mas... they are rad!

This picture was taken in the dark using the bulb setting, the headphones were lit using a torch from above for about a second.

One last example of my Duaflex 'TTV' pitures (for now). This is the view from Brooklyn of Manhattan. Cropped and straightened in photoshop only.

So for Christmas Amanda's mum gave me a Kodak Duaflex camera, while researching where/how to get film for it I came across this article: http://www.russmorris.com/ttv/ So I made one of those contraptions and the results were fantastic. More to come later.
